502 NRUF REPORTING – NEW RULES

Carriers must report numbering utilization and forecast data on a semi-annual basis to the NANPA.  Changes are being made to the process.

Originally, NANPA believed that entities submitting their Form 502 via e-mail or EFT would not have to register in NAS (NANP Administration System).  Upon further review of the security requirements contained in the March, 2003 NANPA Technical Requirements Document, NANPA has concluded that NAS registration is necessary, regardless of the method used to submit the Form 502 information.

The next report is due by August 2, 2004 and is the report for the period from January 1, to June 30, 2004.

As a reminder, if you have not already registered to be a user of NAS, you must do so prior to submitting your NRUF.  This applies to all reporting carriers who intend to submit NRUF data via e-mail.

If you want Monte R. Lee and Company to file your semi-annual 502 reports, a letter on your letterhead, stating that Monte R. Lee and Company has your approval to file with NAS, can be faxed to us (405/848-8018), and we will register you with NAS.  This enrollment requires your OCN.

This new process has the advantage of allowing Monte R. Lee and Company to get your CIC codes, 500 numbers or 555 line numbers and any new NXXs for your company.
